COVID-19 Pandemic: What can Nepal do to Curb the Potential Public Health Disaster?
A recent paper by Sujan Babu Marahatta, Shishir Paudel, and Neeta Aryal examines the steps that Nepal can take to curb the potential public health disaster due to COVID19.
The paper argues that while social distancing is the best possible preventative measure to contain the COVID-19 disease, it cannot be the only response. The authors claim that Nepal needs to conduct proactive testing, strengthen the supply chain logistics for health care workers, and establishing temporary (or re-strengthening) ICU facilities and allocating spaces for quarantine and isolation.
The paper, published by Journal of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, can be accessed here.
